"Thanks again for working with my foot/ankle.  You saved the day!  I never would have been able to complete the run without your great work!"

Pain Management Boot Camp

Common Questions
What if I am in pain but don’t have a doctor’s note?
All participants with a pain level above a 3 out of 10 need a note from your doctor stating that it is okay to exercise in their condition.

What if I am prone to flare-ups?
This is why we spend as much time as you need “emptying your cup” and making sure it doesn’t overflow with symptoms (flare-up). If you need to take the first 6 weeks focusing on simple relaxation techniques and daily activity modifications in order to create space for the stresses of exercise and stretching, then that is what we will help you do. We can show you how to be safe for your specific needs throughout every minute of each class.

What if I am NOT ready to progress to the next level after my boot camp?
Then you can take it again, do boot camp drop-ins, or take some one on one sessions that will prepare for the next level. This is common and totally recommended if you do not feel ready to progress.

What if I have not been able to exercise for the past few months because of my pain?
As long as you are non-acute and cleared for exercise our system is geared for people just like you! We will take you through a program that not only is safe and fun, it will make you stronger than you have ever imagined.

What if I’m not experienced with gym equipment?
Don’t worry, all of our exercises are thoroughly explained and we start with the most basic non-machine movements and progress from there. By the time you get to the more advanced exercises you will be able to handle yourself in any environment! People with all types of capabilities fit in here because everyone is starting from a place of pain, which means reduced function and strength.

Where is the boot camp held?
The Pain Management boot camps are held at the Exercise Progression Center in Milpitas.

When does the next Pain Management boot camp start?

How often do we meet?
We meet 3x per week for levels I & II and 2x per week for level III.

Do I have to purchase all three levels at once?
No. You have the option to 1) buy as you go with a drop in fee of $20 per session or 2) purchase a 6 week camp all at once and save $90 with 3x per week and $30 with 2x per week!

What if I can’t make all the scheduled days?
There is an option for drop-ins. Instead of buying the entire package you can buy as you go. However, if you are looking for the best results, we urge you to stick with the program as it appears on the schedule. Please note for the level I camps there are morning or afternoon classes to choose from.

What do I need to bring?
For the initial evaluation you will need to bring the following;

  • Any recent x-ray/MRI reports that pertain to your current situation.
  • Doctor’s note permitting you to exercise if you have a pain level higher than 3 out of ten.
  • Comfortable clothing that allows for exercise-type movements during the assessment.

After that all you need for each boot camp class is your workout clothes and water bottle!

What will I achieve from these camps?
You will discover first-hand how resilient your body can be when trained appropriately. By the time you complete our level III camp, your body will be stronger and more efficient than most people who are pain free! As you progress through the three levels you will gain more confidence in your body’s ability to handle daily tasks and even the dreaded “hey, can you come help me move his weekend?”  or “wanna go skiing this weekend?” questions. You will know exactly how much your body can handle because you have experienced it during your boot camp and built up your tolerance to a level high enough to meet your individual goals.

What is the cost (investment in myself)?

6 week Camp $270

  • Educational handouts about your specific program
  • Personal care and great attention to your needs
  • Complimentary pre and post-evaluation
  • A noticeable reduction or total elimination of your pain and symptoms
  • Weight loss, better posture, more energy, improved strength and a new confidence in your body

Why should I choose Exercise Progression?
Because we offer what nobody else can; we have the experience and ability to deal with pain and injuries while providing you a safe and friendly environment that allows you to reach your goals at an affordable price.

How Do I Sign Up Now?
First, fill out the Registration Form. Once we’ve received your registration form we will contact you for your complimentary evaluation. You can also email Chris@exerciseprogression.com with any questions.

Will I experience some soreness?
Yes. Our goal is to stress your body in way that makes it grow stronger without breaking down. And the term “growing pains” applies here just as it does with the body. If it is not uncomfortable than it is not challenging enough to make you grow. That being said, we take into account how full your cup is and know just how much to challenge you so that flare-ups don’t happen.

Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend for reasons outside of your control then we will refund you your full payment as long as you notify us before the start of the camp. If you notify us after the camp has begun then you will receive credit for another camp at a later date. If you are dissatisfied with the camp for any reason we will refund your money in full. We have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on all of our services!

What is a typical class like for a Pain Management boot camp?
There will be time allotted for individual corrections, group exercises, stretching, pain management techniques, real-life functional movements, and a surprise here and there to keep you on your toes, just like in the real world.

How long will it take for my Pain to Improve?
Of course everyone is different depending on how long you’ve had the pain, what tissues/structures are involved and how serious it is. As you progress through each level, 6 weeks at a time, it is not uncommon to see results within the first few weeks. At first, sometimes improvement is not the total elimination of pain, but rather the ability to last an entire day before the pain sets in, instead of hurting at 2pm. Once these types of improvement have been reached, a pain-free life is just around the corner!
